Happy New Year!

This past year has been a wonderful time of growth and renewal for all of us at Concha Audiology! Our company has doubled in size; both with new offices and new Audiologists to best help serve your needs. We rekindled old friendships as dedicated patients renewed their trust in us and began ordering new sets of hearing aids. The story is always the same. They knew they could trust us and so they returned to us. We Thank You!

Its a Girl!

Right before the New Year, a member of our staff at Concha Audiology welcomed a new member to their family. Our Audiologist in the Mt. Pleasant office, Jessica Egge M.A., CCC-A and her husband Jason Egge, Pharm. D. have enjoyed the birth of their first child!
On Saturday December 21st, 2002 Jessica delivered Natalie Grace Egge. She weighed 6 lbs, 8 oz and was 19 inches long! Congratulations Jessica and Jason!!!

In Case of bad Weather

We wanted to remind you that in case of bad weather, our offices might not always be open during normal hours in the winter months. We strive for the safety of our staff as well as our patients! Some of our Audiologists have to travel great distances in order to be available to you every day. We will do our best to notify you in advance if we need to change an appointment due to weather, but we do ask for your understanding under these circumstances!

Hearing Aid Accessories

Did you know hearing aids have accessories? There are many devices available that can help in everyday care of your hearing aids.
     Dri-Aid Kits work wonderfully for those of you with moisture problems. If you perspire a lot or work in an area that has high humidity, the Dri-Aid Kit is a must to have on hand! It will also improve the sound quality of the hearing aid, if the aid has been exposed to moisture.
     A Battery Tester is also a nice tool to have around. Not sure when your battery is dead? This is a nifty little piece of technology that can answer that question for you! The battery testers can be used with any size of hearing aid battery.
    A Cleaning Tool is another important device to keep your aid in tip-top working order. Most people receive a cleaning tool at the time of their fitting. If you don't have a cleaning tool or have lost it, please stop in at one of our convenient locations and pick one up!

A Lot of You Have Been Asking

A lot of you have been asking what is going to become of the Ft. Madison location when the library takes over. As many of you know, the City of Ft. Madison has purchased the Valley Medical Center where our Ft. Madison office is located. As far as we know, our contract is not up until May of this year (2003). We have not been notified as to any date that we will be expected to relocate (or if we will at all.) The bottom line is that we will be looking for office space in the city of Ft. Madison so that we may continue to provide you with the excellent service you have come to expect and from a location that is still close by and central for you!

Partnerships Can Work Nicely

Our partnership with Tri-State Medical in Keokuk is running along quite nicely. We are offering our services of Audiology in Keokuk at 1425 Morgan on a part-time basis. Audiology staffing is provided by Julie Reardon M.S., CCC-A on M-TH from 9 AM to 2 PM. We offer a full range of services and this includes battery pick up. To visit the Keokuk office, you still need an appointment. You can call Elsie at
319-526-6365 and she will be happy to schedule you in at a time that should be convenient for you. As a reminder, the OATS bus also services this facility and appointments can be made to coincide with these visits!

Referral Incentive Program

This past year we introduced a new Referral Incentive Program to our patients. Really, this is geared for anyone who knows someone they feel could benefit from better hearing. When your referral comes in and they try a new hearing aid or aids, we call that a referral! That part isn't new… What IS new is that we now have Audiology caps for the men and beautiful Concha Audiology totes for the women! We still have our $45.00 referral fee available as well, however, with our new system in place, you are now getting a Concha Audiology cap or Concha Audiology tote for your first referral. These caps and totes are embroidered with the Concha Audiology logo right on them and are made of quality material so you will be proud to use them every day! If you are having trouble finding referrals to send to us, but you would like a cap or tote anyway, you may also ask at the office about purchasing one of your own!
If you do not wish to participate in the new referral program and like things the old way, just speak to Renee or your Audiologist and we will be happy to work with you.

In the Spotlight

In the Spotlight this quarter, we are looking at the newest in technology again. We have been trying out the newest member of the Rexton family, the Voyage ™.
